Principal's Message

It is with great joy that I welcome you to LeGore Elementary School, Home of the Aztecs.  After a year of distance learning we are all excited to be back on campus and once again to see and hear students throughout the school. Please rest assured that we have established Covid safety protocols at LeGore to assure that students have a safe learning environment.

Our priority this year will be to promote student emotional wellbeing as well as to address any learning loss that may have resulted from the school closures.  As a school community we will work on providing students with a welcoming environment that will allow us to build relationships both with students and their families so that we can help students be all around successful.

We will continue to have high expectations for student learning and behavior to promote success. As a Leader in Me Lighthouse School we will continue to encourage and embrace student leadership while teaching students the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.    These habits will provide students the tools to develop their full potential. Additionally and most importantly, these habits will help students to develop into tomorrow's leaders.

Our school culture thrives on building a sense of community amongst all that is safe, nurturing, and engaging. We foster a sense of pride in our students by conducting daily morning announcements that include our 7 habits pledge. Additionally, every Friday morning we will gather as a school community in a safe manner for our school cheer and Aztec shout out.  College awareness continues as one of the areas of focus at LeGore. Every class adopts a college and learns about the path to college. At LeGore we recognize it is never too early to start planning for the future.

Parents are welcome at LeGore.  Our school is fortunate to have a Parent/Community Liaison, Irma Colin that will work closely with families to provide assistance as needed. We encourage all parents to get involved in our school events and committees as they are announced throughout the year.

As always, it is a great privilege to serve as LeGore principal and to work with all of the students and their families that are part of our school. Please feel free to contact me with your questions, comments, or concerns as they arise throughout the school year. I hope that each and every student has a positive and successful experience at LeGore Elementary School where "We are Building Leaders One Brick at a Time.”

Warmly,
Adriana García
LeGore School Principal
