EL MONTE – El Monte City School District is welcoming families to ParentSquare, a new communication tool that will keep parents more connected than ever to their children’s teachers, schools and District announcements.
ParentSquare incorporates an app that can be loaded onto phones as well as a way to access the system through the District’s website.
The system includes alerts, tools for confirming participation in conferences and events, and the ability to respond to teachers and administrators. Families can customize the app to receive information in the formats they prefer.
“We are excited to offer this new tool to ensure our families are always in the know when it comes to critical news and information about their children’s classes, schools and our District,” Superintendent Dr. Maribel Garcia said. “With all of the changes forced by the current health crisis, strong family communication has never been so necessary.”
Families were invited to join the app starting Friday, July 31.
It just takes a few steps:
- Download ParentSquare from the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Login with the email or phone number registered with your child’s school
- Start receiving posts relevant to your child
“ParentSquare will be El Monte City School District’s primary electronic tool for communicating with parents as we go forward, so we’d like all our families to join,” Garcia said. “We will continue sharing messages through our website, social media systems and letters home to parents as well.
