Principal's Message

Welcome to LeGore Elementary School, Home of the Aztecs.  We are excited about the new school year, 22-23, and the endless possibilities that it will bring for an awesome year.

This year our school theme is "LeGore Leaders Are Totally Awesome."  One of the ways we will develop "Awesome" is to promote student emotional wellbeing by building relationships with our students.  Additionally, we will build on student academic strengths as well as address student learning needs through intervention and providing any additional resources as needed.

We will continue to have high expectations for student learning and behavior to promote success. As a California Distinguished School, a California Pivotal Practice School, a US News Best Elementary School and a Leader in Me Lighthouse School we will continue to encourage and embrace student academic achievement and student leadership while teaching students the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.  These habits will provide students the tools to develop their academic and social potential. Students will have multiple opportunities to hold leadership roles in school. Our goal is to have students embrace these habits to equip them to develop into tomorrow's leaders.

Our school culture thrives on building a sense of community amongst all that is safe, nurturing, and engaging. Every Friday we gather for the Friday Cheer.  This is our school spirit rally where we say the Pledge of Allegiance, school cheer, and a very loud Aztec shout out.  It’s a great way for students to start their Friday morning. In addition, we conduct daily morning announcements to have our students connect with school events and hear important messages to keep them on track to being Awesome Learners.

We value parent involvement at LeGore and look forward to working together as a team to promote student achievement.  Parents are always welcome at LeGore.  This year we will utilize Parent Square as our home school application.  Our school is also fortunate to have a Parent/Community Liaison, Irma Colin, that will work closely with families to provide assistance as needed. We encourage all parents to get involved in our school events, workshops. parent meetings, and committees as they are announced throughout the year.  We also invite you to follow us on Instagram @LeGoreSchool.

As always, it is a great privilege to serve as LeGore School principal and to work with all of the students and their families that are part of our school. Please feel free to contact me with your questions, comments, or concerns as they may arise throughout the school year. I hope that each and every student has a wonderful and successful experience at LeGore Elementary School where "LeGore Leaders Are Totally Awesome.”

Warmly,
Adriana Garcia
